Nobody tells you how violent growth actually feels from the inside. How it does not arrive gently, does not give you time to prepare, and does not care about your comfort level or your timeline. It comes in and dismantles things, relationships, routines, versions of yourself you were comfortable being, situations you had settled into even when they were no longer serving you, and it pulls all of it up from the root without asking permission.
And in that uprooting season everything feels wrong. Everything feels unstable. You cannot see what is being built yet because you are still in the middle of the demolition and that is one of the loneliest and most disorienting places a person can stand. But that disruption is not destruction. It is preparation.
You cannot grow deeper roots in soil that has stopped feeding you. You cannot reach your full potential in spaces, situations, and versions of your life that were designed for a smaller, earlier, less evolved version of who you are becoming. The discomfort of change is not a sign that something is going wrong.
It is a sign that something is finally going right, that life is repositioning you for the kind of depth and growth that was never possible where you were before. So let it rip. Let it uproot. Let it move you even when moving feels terrifying. Because on the other side of every painful transition is a version of you with roots so deep that nothing will ever be able to pull you up again.
