Yesterday, we celebrated the ribbon cutting for Hope Pregnancy Clinic new building.

It was an honor to serve as the general contractor on a project with such a meaningful purpose. Creating a welcoming space where Hope’s team can provide compassionate care and support is work we’re grateful to have been part of.

To the entire Hope team, thank you for trusting us with your vision and for the difference you make in our community. To our subcontractors, thank you for the skill, care, and hard work you brought to this project. We appreciate everyone who helped bring it together.

Yesterday, we hosted a BBQ lunch at our shop to thank the subcontractors helping bring the Salud Medical Center Remodel to completion. We’re grateful for the hard work, skill, and care their teams have put into this project, and for the people who show up each day ready to work through challenges alongside us.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to Kent Kaufman for grilling the chicken. We appreciate all you’ve contributed and look forward to handing the completed space over to the Salud team in the next few weeks!

Our team is working on a kitchen remodel at Fresh Start Market, a program at the Marion County Juvenile Department.

The program gives youth an opportunity to gain practical job skills while earning money to pay restitution to victims of crime. Through daily operations, they learn customer service, cash handling, barista skills, merchandising and stocking.

The approximately two-month remodel is framed, roughed in and inspected, with drywall starting next. Our Kaufman Commercial crew completed framing in-house, with plumbing rough-ins complete and Kuenzi Electric Inc. handling the electrical rough-ins. NCG Construction LLC will complete drywall before we move into epoxy flooring, cove base and FRP wall panel installation.

We’re glad to help improve a space where youth can build skills and take steps toward their future.

Finish work is underway at Pacific Communities Health District’s new housing for medical residents in Newport, Oregon.

Inside, crews are installing finish trim and preparing for flooring. Exterior painting is complete, and crews are connecting drainage and utility lines from the street. Parking lot grading is also beginning in preparation for asphalt.

The six-unit building will give physicians in Samaritan Health Services Family Medicine Rural Residency Program a place to live just steps from Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital as they train and care for the Newport community.

The renovation of Santiam Hospital & Clinics Women's Clinic in Stayton continues to move forward with several major milestones now complete.

As work has progressed, the project has expanded to include an additional 1,100 square feet for additional exam rooms, a Dexascan room and a Mammography room. These additions allow for the hospital to continue to improve their patient experience and serve the community.

With the building prepared for its next phase, interior framing is 90% complete and the exterior of the building is scheduled to be wrapped before the rains come.

Projects like this are a team effort and we're grateful for the work of Precision Built Structures, Withers Lumber Co., Pure Plumbing, Northside Electric, Salem Heating & Sheet Metal, Inc., LOI Environmental and Demolition Services, Salem Concrete Paving, and K & E Excavating who have helped get us to this point in the project. This is a meaningful project for the community and we are humbled to be a part of it.

With more than 12 years of construction experience, Sam brings valuable field knowledge and leadership as we continue serving clients and managing projects throughout Central Oregon.

We’re glad to have Sam on the Kaufman Commercial team and look forward to all he’ll bring to our projects.

A little friendly competition for a great cause!

Last week, Danny and Zach represented Kaufman Commercial at the & Co****le Tournament, finishing the day with a 3–2 record.

More importantly, the event raised over $5,000 for local volunteer firefighters. A big thank you to Green Acres Landscape for organizing the tournament, along with all of the sponsors, supporters and participants who helped make the fundraiser such a success.

We were glad to simply be there, join in the fun and support a great local cause.

Today marks the first day of a new school year at Crosshill Christian School, and students and staff are stepping into newly remodeled spaces and a new addition on campus.

Over the past several months, our team has had the opportunity to serve as general contractor for this remodel and addition, transforming a small portion of the existing High School while adding new space to better serve the school community.

Seeing these spaces complete is especially meaningful knowing they were built to support the students, educators, and families who will use them every day.

Thank you to Crosshill Christian School for trusting us with this project, and to the entire project team for their work along the way.

Wishing the Crosshill community a great first day and school year ahead!

We have another project underway with Shangri-La, converting an existing home into a functional, accessible space for individuals with disabilities.

With demolition complete, our team is now moving into the next phase of the remodel with accessibility at the forefront of the project.

Adapting an existing home to meet ADA requirements takes careful planning. Wider doorways, exterior ramps, and opening up bathrooms for wheelchair mobility are a few of the improvements being made to create a space that is easier to navigate and better suited to the needs of those who will live here.

Thoughtful construction can make a meaningful difference in how people experience and use a space every day.
