This past week the timber crew had an awesome queen post truss build on the shop floor before it was disassembled to head to a commercial sugar house project!

Very cool to see these projects come to life and to know that sap will be steaming and maple syrup will be made be made under these timbers.

How's this for a shop story:

The timber shop crew were cleaning out some old stuff and came across a broken mallet - head exploded and the handle was broken. One of our newer timber framers, Pine, took it home instead of letting it get thrown out. He rebuilt it, fixed the handle, added a new head, then hand carved the designs into it.

Way to be, Pine - glad to have you on the team.

What a celebration! Thank you to everyone who came out to Vermont Frames in Starksboro to celebrate our 50th Anniversary with us. Seeing so many familiar faces, as well as some new ones, made the day truly special.

Fifty years wouldn't have been possible without our community; our crew and their families, building partners, and of course our clients. Celebrating it with all of you made it extra special. Whether you've been working with us since the early days or have just learned about us, thank you for being part of our story.

Here are a few photos from the day. We're so grateful for each and every one of you who showed up to celebrate with us. Here's to the next 50 years!

This 'Thankful Thursday,' we're shouting out our building partner, Hudson Design and Build . We don't build without a team and Patrick and his team at Hudson Design and Build have been trusted partners on several projects in recent years.

After we've fabricated a frame, our field team heads to the site to erect the new frame. Having the site prepped properly with the deck installed, area for our equipment and crane, and railings to keep the site safe make the install process go so much more smoothly - and our friends at Hudson Design and Build always have their sites ready to greet us. It's the little things that make all of our lives easier and that make sure we can all deliver to our clients.

We work with a lot of amazing building partners, but today, we're thankful for Patrick and his crew at Hudson Design and Build. See you guys on the next one!
