We are so excited to welcome back Josh Rawlings to the team as Vermont Frames' Director of Operations.

Josh brings over 25 years of experience in timber framing and residential construction. His expertise and prior experience with Vermont Frames is going to be a major asset to not only the Design and Operations team, but to our entire crew in the Panel Shop, Timber Shop, and Install Crew - not to mention how much his experience will benefit our clients.

We were thrilled to host members of the Vermont Youth Conservation Corps , led by Eliot Lothrop of Building Heritage , at Vermont Frames and Foam Laminates of Vermont in Starksboro yesterday.

During the visit they learned about the differences between traditional, high craftsmanship timber framing, timber frame restoration, and modern hand-crafted timber frame production including the use of CAD, the use of hand power tools in production, and installation techniques.

This past week the timber crew had an awesome queen post truss build on the shop floor before it was disassembled to head to a commercial sugar house project!

Very cool to see these projects come to life and to know that sap will be steaming and maple syrup will be made be made under these timbers.
