Eastern Land Management, Inc. Because beautiful outdoor spaces matter.

Curb appeal, tenant experience, and winter risk don’t take a season off—you need a knowledgable team that protects your properties, minimizes liability, and responds fast when conditions change. Our well-trained horticulturists and maintenance personnel combine modern scientific techniques with an old-fashioned dedication to quality and service. We work with our partners throughout Connecticut and Greater NYC Metro to spur a next generation of healthier and more resilient outdoor spaces to live, work and play. Landscape and green site infrastructure is a win-win that can boost job creation, build energy efficiency, demonstrate a forward-thinking commitment to water management and resource conservation, and meet LEED, WELL and 2030 sustainability goals. ELM is doubling down on performance, harnessing the power of smart technologies, and committing to vibrant, interactive landscapes that connect people with nature, protect the environment, and benefit both our clients and the communities we serve.

Congratulations to the Westchester team behind our safety win.

Thank you to the crew members who notice something and speak up. The co-worker who checks the equipment one more time. And the people who look out for the well-being of the person working beside them.

These everyday decisions add up to something worth celebrating: 365 consecutive Zero Loss Days, an important milestone when hard work happens outdoors.

For our team, safety metrics represent a lot more than a corporate goal. It's how we demonstrate our Care in Action, how we help each other do the job well, go home safely at the end of the day, and leave our clients landscapes better and safer because we were there.

365 days is a number. Our people are the reason that number matters. 💚

Fewer surprises take more than good luck and good training. It comes from asking the right questions, watching the weather, looking at the data, and knowing when something in your landscape has changed enough to act on it.

As the growing season winds down, a tree assessment, for example, can start a much bigger conversation about what's overhead, what's underneath and what's happening nearby. The same thinking carries across your property, because one thing usually tells you something about another.

Prevention is an ELM company-wide mindset. Our tree care program is only one way to see how it works.

Take a closer look at "Healthy Trees. Fewer Surprises". It's one small example of how thinking ahead can change what happens next. 🌳

We love a reason to celebrate the people behind the work and this week, we're putting Chak Hamra in the spotlight for Good News Friday.

Chak earned his Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor (CLIA) credential from the Irrigation Association, adding another layer of expertise to a multi-faceted water management career shaped by experience and knowledge.

Since joining our team in 2022, he has helped move our irrigation program toward data-driven conservation and smarter stewardship, bringing together field experience, technology and a deeper understanding of how water, plant health and natural resource systems all work together.

Congratulations, Chak. We're glad to see another win added to a career built on a commitment to make the world we live in a healthier, happier and greener place to live, work and play. 💚

There's a choreography to fall.

The light becomes golden. Ornamental grasses deepen from green to amber. And, like clockwork, monarch butterflies begin their incredible journey from New England toward central Mexico.

Suddenly, it's the first day of autumn and what looks like a change in colors is also a change in how we care for your landscape.

There’s pruning and deadheading. Mulching and aerating and seasonal systems checks. Familiar ELM hands making small shifts that move your landscape from one season to the next.

Because fall isn't only about what's changing in your landscape. It's when our focus begins to shift from summer performance to winter readiness.

Nature gives us plenty to admire. She also gives us plenty to prepare for. 🍂

"The Callery pear tree stands distinct from the hundreds of swamp white oak trees on the Memorial. It was discovered amidst the wreckage of the 9/11 attacks, its bark charred from fires at the site and many of its limbs reduced to stumps. Yet somehow, the tree, still bearing leaves, showed signs of life.

Recovery workers transported the tree to a nursery in the Bronx to be cared for by the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation. With careful tending, the stumps of burned and gnarled bark gave growth to longer and smoother branches.

Replanted at the 9/11 Memorial in December 2010, this Survivor Tree bursts into magnificent blossom each spring, embodying a living symbol of resilience."

We're proud to serve the communities of Greater New York Metro, and prouder still to stand with our neighbors just down the I-95 whose resilience, courage and enduring strength continue to inspire us all.

The Survivor Tree - the last living thing pulled from the rubble - tells that story better than words ever could. Today we remember why that matters. 🌳

On August 29, ELM marks 50 years in business. For me, that milestone is both personal and professional, and grounded in the belief that if you take care of people, do good work, and keep your word, you can build relationships that last.

A lot has changed since 1976. What hasn't changed is what matters most: taking pride in going beyond, looking after one another, and knowing that none of us builds anything meaningful alone.

That's what fifty years of means to me. And why I'm grateful to everyone who helped carry my father's founding spirit forward, and made it their own.

"None of us builds anything meaningful alone. Together, we make more possible." On August 29th, ELM marks 50 years in business. For me, that milestone is both personal and professional. For fifty years, our growth has been shaped by people who believed in going beyond. They brought their voice to the big idea, shared what they knew, asked better questions, tried new things, and kept raising the bar. And, over time, they built relationships and friendships in the community that have lasted decades.

On August 29, we'll be bringing everyone together to celebrate this milestone. Great people. Good food. Great stories. And a lot of familiar faces.

Old friends. New memories. We can't wait. 💚

Take a look back at the people, places, and moments that brought us here. 🔗https://vimeo.com/1158819785?fl=pl&fe=sh
