🤔 According to Malcom Gladwell (he coined the phrase “the ten-thousand-hour rule” in his best-selling 2008 book Outliers), a person could become an expert in nearly any field as long as they were willing to devote the requisite 10,000 hours (approximately 1 year and 51 days) to studying and practicing the subject or skill.

If this is an urban myth or actual reality we don’t know 🤷‍♂️ what is sure is that if you want to master something, you need to be willing to put in the time and we have over 15 years of time in mastering our skills! 😃

A dark island no one wants to see.

Nothing new here except a dark place to drop the mail and bags of groceries 😐

But ... once converted to a sitting/eating breakfast bar and dated pendant lights replaced with unobtrusive recessed lights, well ... things are different 🤩 people want to hang out once more in the kitchen.

No more dark island 😃

Cramped Bathing Area 🛀 to Drop-In Tub and Frameless Shower 🚿

I almost feel that if I get in that tub it will transform into a time capsule and teleport me way back when that alcove was a thing 😁

Well not any more! The owner got rid of that look by ripping out the claustrophobic alcove, installing a drop-in bathtub and completed the open and airy feeling with a frameless glass shower.

No more time capsule! 😃

To paint or not to paint ... that is the question 🤔

If you have the time, and the means, and you want to save money, PAINT!

In this example the owner opened the entire room with the white color for the top cabinets bur still keeping you grounded with the dark color on the lower level cabinets.

Not to mention completely replacing some cabinets with shelves 😃

If you wouldn’t know any better you could say is a different kitchen altogether 😄

So the question stands ...

Storage Opportunity Wasted turned into Fridge With Integrated Pantry

The lonely fridge had one use, keeping the food cold, other than that it was taking up floor space and looking awkward.

The solution, to install pantry units to the side and above the fridge. This expanded storage wraps around the fridge and produces a clean, integrated look. 😃

No more lonely awkward fridge 😁
