At Universal Windows Direct, we believe every homeowner deserves more than just a product—they deserve an experience rooted in care, quality, and confidence. Since 2002, we've grown from a small local business started by co-founders, William Barr and Michael Strmac, into one of the nation’s leading exterior remodeling contractors by staying true to one core principle: putting homeowners first. We specialize in energy-efficient, USA-made products that elevate curb appeal while improving comfort and value. From our exclusive UniShield® windows and doors to premium siding and roofing, every product we offer is engineered for beauty, durability, and low maintenance. Backed by a True Lifetime Warranty and installed by seasoned experts, we stand by our work because we own every step of the process—from consultation to completion. Our team is passionate, knowledgeable, and committed to delivering white-glove service with every project. 🚪 Winter can be tough on your front door.
If your door suddenly feels harder to open, won’t close properly, or you notice a draft creeping in… it might not be “just the cold.”

Seasonal temperature changes can cause:
❄️ sticking and swelling
❄️ worn weatherstripping
❄️ door frame gaps
❄️ latch and hinge issues

And those small issues can lead to heat loss, higher heating bills, and serious frustration.

👉 Swipe through the carousel, then read the full blog for the most common winter door problems—and what to do about them. https://www.universalwindowsdirect.com/blog/9-common-door-problems-and-fixes-for-the-winter/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=winter_doors
