KAI is thrilled to have stood alongside Dallas ISD last week to officially break ground on the new Seagoville PK-8 campus! Part of the momentous 2020 Bond Program, this milestone celebration marks the beginning of a vibrant new era for the Southeast Dallas community. 🎉

This project represents a profound investment in the families who call this rapidly growing area home. Reflecting on the community dedication that made this day a reality, Brent Alfred, Chief of Construction for Dallas ISD, noted, "Projects like this are about far more than bricks and mortar. They are about spaces where students can learn, grow, discover, and build a future."

The architectural design reflects an innovative educational model that challenges traditional classroom boundaries, while solving for overcrowding across regional elementary and middle schools. Highlighting this vision, Angie Ga***rd, Chief of Innovation for Dallas ISD, shared, "As Seagoville's first transformation choice school, this campus serves as an incredible legacy. This is a symbol of our commitment to providing students with an exceptional education for a successful future."

A project of this scale requires an exceptional village, and we thank all the partners who are bringing this vision to life- including Dikita Enterprises, Inc., Philips May Corporation, and the Dallas ISD Construction Services team. We are proud to build a stronger, more resilient future together! 🏗️

We’re proud to celebrate the grand opening of The Covering House’s new residential campus, a project that represents hope, healing, and a brighter future for vulnerable youth in our community. Designed and built by KAI, this transformational space was created to serve girls who have experienced trafficking and exploitation, offering them safety, dignity, and a place to begin again.

This milestone marks the realization of a vision years in the making, rooted in compassion, partnership, and a shared commitment to restoring lives. The new home expands The Covering House’s ability to provide critical residential care, therapeutic services, and long-term support in a safe, nurturing environment.

🎉 Exciting news for KAI 360 CS!

We’re honored to be named the inaugural 2026 PM/CM Firm of the Year by the CMAA North Texas Chapter—an achievement that reflects the dedication of our team and the strength of our partnerships.

A special thank you and congratulations to our incredible client and partner, DFW Airport, who were also recognized as the CMAA North Texas Owner of the Year! Without DFW's trust and collaboration in our team to assist them in the management of several transformative projects within their $12B Capital Improvement Plan, we wouldn't have been considered for this honor.

We are proud to announce our recent architectural work on the renovation of the historic Reverchon Park Ballfield has received a Preservation Achievement Award from Preservation Dallas!

Originally established in 1920, the ballfields slowly upgraded over the next ten years with unique characteristics including the wooden bleacher grandstand and field lighting to offer nighttime play. In 1931, the Dallas Bank Amateur Baseball Association was established as the first league at Reverchon and for the next 75 years hosted many other significant leagues including the Women's Baseball League, American Legion teams, the Federal League, Dallas Mexican American Baseball League and the Dallas Men's Senior Baseball League.

In 2023, work began to renovate the park to its 1920's glory. This $5.5 million investment included historically-accurate updates to the grandstand, a regraded and irrigated field with new natural grass turf and upgraded bullpens. The tradition of baseball continues on thanks to our preservation of this park, as it is now the home field for North Dallas High School's baseball team. We're proud to help champion the Dallas baseball community with our work on this unique and incredible project!

We recently had an incredible time at the Marvin E. Robinson School of Business and Management at Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center for their 2026 Careers in Real Estate Seminar. After our last visit, the junior real estate students specifically requested to learn more about Architecture and Interior Design, and our KAI team was thrilled to return for an interactive workshop: Architect for the Day.

With a strict 45 minute deadline, teams worked together to design a Neighborhood Clinic, an Elementary School, and a Neighborhood Library. They listened to client needs, planned building spaces using program blocks, considered how their buildings responded to the neighborhood, and presented their final concepts to the group.

Giving back to the community through initiatives like this remains a core priority for KAI. The architecture and interior design industry still has a long way to go in terms of representation. By introducing these bright students to the design process early on, we hope to inspire the next generation of diverse professionals who will shape our built environment. The creativity and problem solving skills these students showed were truly impressive!

Thank you to Dallas ISD and the Marvin E. Robinson School of Business, for inviting us to be part of this impactful event.
