We’re honored to share that Schaub Projects has been named a finalist in four categories for the 2026 SOPHI Awards!

Our team and work are recognized in three categories this year:
- Modern Residential Architectural Design over 3,000 square feet — Jon Metheny
- Traditional Residential Architectural Design over 3,000 square feet — Schaub Projects Architecture + Design, with two projects named as finalists
- Architectural Design Pool House or Adjacent Building — Schaub Projects Architecture + Design
- Architect of the Year — David J. Schaub

We’re incredibly proud to see both our projects and Dave’s leadership recognized among the exceptional design talent in the St. Louis community.

The winners will be revealed at the Third Annual SOPHI Awards on November 12 at the Bayer Center at the Missouri Botanical Garden. Until then, we’re grateful for the recognition and especially grateful to the clients, builders, designers, craftspeople, and project partners who collaborate with us to bring these homes to life.

Wish us luck!

What happens when your architect and structural engineer can start solving problems together from day one?

Meet Aaron S. Odle, PE, Director of Structural Engineering at Schaub Projects.

Aaron joins our team with experience on more than 2,500 projects and a shared belief that creative ideas shouldn’t automatically be met with limitations. His approach is to ask, “How can we make this work?”

With structural engineering now in-house, our team can collaborate more closely, address technical considerations earlier, and find smart ways to bring ambitious ideas to life, all while creating a more streamlined experience for our clients.

We’ll let Aaron tell you a little more himself. Meet the newest member of Schaub Projects: https://schaubprojects.com/team/aaron-s-odle/

Meet Aaron S. Odle, PE, our new Director of Structural Engineering.

With experience spanning more than 2,500 projects, Aaron brings extensive technical expertise to Schaub Projects, but it’s his approach to engineering that makes him such a natural fit for our team.

Aaron believes structural engineering shouldn’t limit great architecture. It should help make great architecture possible. By working alongside our architects from the beginning, he can help find creative solutions that preserve the design intent while keeping constructability and cost in mind.

We’re thrilled to have Aaron leading our new in-house Structural Engineering Department and streamlining the entire design process for our clients.

Big ideas work better when the right expertise is at the table from the beginning.

We’re excited to announce the launch of Schaub Projects’ in-house Structural Engineering Department, led by Director of Structural Engineering Aaron S. Odle, PE.

For our clients, this means a more seamless process. When architects and structural engineers collaborate earlier, we can reduce delays and outside coordination, and explore ambitious architectural ideas from the beginning.

It’s another step toward creating a more streamlined experience from initial concept through construction, while giving our team even greater freedom to think creatively.

We're honored to see another Schaub Projects home featured in St. Louis Homes + Lifestyles.

This residence on the western edge of St. Louis County is a wonderful example of what we love most about residential architecture: thoughtfully designing a home that supports the way a family lives today. Every decision was guided by collaboration, craftsmanship, and a commitment to creating spaces that feel timeless, welcoming, and uniquely personal.

We're grateful to the homeowners and the entire project team for trusting us with their vision, and to St. Louis Homes + Lifestyles for showcasing this special project.

We’re honored to see our custom home project showcased in the pages of St. Louis Homes + Lifestyles. Designed by David Schaub and Drew Schaub, this 12,900-square-foot residence was created to balance grand-scale entertaining with the warmth and comfort of everyday family life.

Inspired by the timeless charm of the English Cotswolds. The home combines stone, stucco, and timber with thoughtfully designed interiors tailored to the way the family lives. In addition, when these same clients had the opportunity to purchase a neighboring 2.5-acre property in Frontenac, they saw more than a vacant lot—they saw the chance to create their forever home.

Working closely with David and Drew Schaub, the family envisioned a home designed around the way they live: a welcoming main level for everyday living, a lower level dedicated to recreation and entertaining, and private spaces upstairs for their college-aged kids. Just as important were the outdoor amenities, including a pool, pickleball court, firepit, screened porch, and gathering spaces designed to bring family and friends together year-round.

We're honored to see this project featured in St. Louis Homes + Lifestyles.
