We often hear, “the sewer lateral is PVC so we don’t need an inspection” - Not so fast! We call this a “cross bore” and that’s when another contractor bores a hole and inserts the their cable (think Spectrum or Ameren) through your sewer lateral. Neither Julie, on the IL side or 1-800-Dig-Rite in MO, locate the home’s sewer lateral when these contractors are burying their stuff on your property so they have no idea where its at. Don’t let a “cross bore” obstruct your PVC. Call Sewer-Oscopy LLC at 314-703-3608 to inspect the home’s main sanitary line before closing in your home - any home!

Recently, in Godfrey IL, we were invited to inspect a sewer lateral after two other companies claimed to have cleaned an obstructed pipe. This is 6" Clay and those are concentrated roots. Does this look properly cleaned to you?

The first company, sounds like Photo Phooter, charged the customer $900 and broke, and refused to replace, their toilet. The 2nd company, MD Something, charged $465 and couldn't provide a video because "their camera was broken".

The point is there are unscrupulous sewer and drain companies that are taking advantage of customers. DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU! When we clean your sewer lateral we provide a report with video showing it's clean.
