Congratulations to Chris H. and Donny R. on completing the Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) Apprenticeship Classroom Training! 👏

144 hours of classroom instruction are required, along with 8,000 hours of hands-on experience in the field. Once completed, apprentices earn Department of Labor certification as Professional Electricians.

Programs like IEC are a key part of how our team continues to grow, strengthen skills, and uphold high standards across every project.

We currently have 19 employees enrolled, and we’re proud to support their progress by covering tuition and investing in their development. ☀️

This week, we’re revisiting our solar install at Green Trails Elementary School in Chesterfield, Missouri. The school name really says it all. ☀️🌱

Installed in July 2019, this 75 kW system helped put the 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘯 in Green Trails. This array brings clean, renewable power to the school and creates a brighter future for the next generation.

You may be hearing more about “safe harboring” in solar right now, and that's for a good reason. ☀️🚨

The deadline to safe harbor your commercial solar project is July 4, 2026. By taking action now, you can 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿-𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘄 to complete installation and still 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗧𝗮𝘅 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁 (ITC).

If no action is taken, your project must complete construction on December 31st, 2027 to receive the ITC savings.

Solar safe harboring lets you secure current tax incentives by taking early action on a project, even if installation happens later. In a shifting policy environment, that kind of foresight can make a meaningful difference in overall project economics.

The Pageant rocks more than live music energy... they’re powered by solar energy too! 🎶☀️

This week, we're looking back at the solar install atop this famous concert venue. StraightUp Solar completed this project in November 2023. The 44KW system generates 57,000 kWh of electricity from 92 rooftop modules overlooking the famous Delmar Loop in St. Louis.
