We brought the team together for an unforgettable summer barbecue at LU Design Build HQ🍔

Not only did we enjoy great food and company, but we also had the chance to celebrate the birthday of Mr. Bourgeois—Luke’s dad and an inspiration to us all.

From working alongside Mr. Bourgeois in the field at age 9, Luke’s lifelong journey in construction is a true legacy built on family, mentorship, and hard work. Here’s to team spirit, cherished traditions, and the dedicated people who make our projects possible.

Meet the Team Member: Zachary Schroeder, Lead Carpenter 🔨

Zach brings over 15 years of hands-on experience in general and finish carpentry to LU Design Build, with a special focus on kitchens and bathrooms. His craftsmanship, attention to detail, and dedication to quality shine through in every project.

He holds a degree in Building Inspection and Code Enforcement Technology from Forest Park College—giving him a strong foundation in both building standards and code compliance.

Zach thrives in a team environment and loves bringing high-end designs to life while making the process smooth and enjoyable for clients. Outside of work, he channels his creativity into music and proudly supports his son’s hockey team.

We’re lucky to have Zach leading the way on some of our most beautiful transformations!
