🚧 Big progress at the Kirkwood Ice Rink project 🚧

The future ice rink slab is continuing to take shape. Yesterday, our partners at Vee-Jay Cement Contracting completed the concrete pour that will serve as the future ice rink surface.

Beneath the slab are nearly 12 miles of cold piping that will help maintain the ice once the rink is operational. The slab will now undergo a 14-day wet cure process to support long-term performance and durability.

At the Clayton Municipal Maintenance Facility project, our Safety Stand Down for Mental Health Awareness continues as we emphasize the importance of prioritizing mental health on every jobsite.

ICP President Scott Zola joined the project team to remind everyone to stay grounded, be present, and reach out for support when needed. To thank the crew for their hard work and dedication to keeping the project on schedule, ICP provided lunch.

A simple but meaningful reminder on our job sites to take care of your mental health 💡

In addition to Safety Stand Downs, ICP is sharing stickers and keychains to encourage daily awareness and conversation around mental well-being.

Construction is a high-risk environment that requires focus, presence, and trust among teammates. We can’t show up for each other at our best if we’re not also taking care of our mental health alongside our physical safety.

We hope this campaign opens the door to a bigger message: looking after your well-being is part of the work.

Yesterday at the Boys & Girls Club project site in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, ICP President Scott Zola joined the project team to highlight the importance of mental health awareness, focusing on reducing stigma, recognizing challenges, and knowing how to access support during Mental Health Awareness Month.

Safety extends beyond the physical environment. Staying focused, present, and connected as a team begins with supporting the well-being of the people behind the work. Lunch was provided as a small token of appreciation for the team’s dedication in bringing this project to the finish line.

Prioritizing mental health doesn’t have to be complicated. It can start with something as simple as taking a moment to rest.

❄️ Progress continues at the City of Kirkwood, MO (Government)'s Ice Rink ⛸

Following our recent milestone of installing the rink equipment, the project has taken another major step forward with the ice rink foundation in place. With key elements coming together, the team is focused on maintaining momentum through the next stages of construction.

We are excited to continue moving this project forward towards its completion this summer. Stay tuned for more updates!

🚧 On site in Clayton 🚧

ICP recently hosted a staff meeting at the Clayton Municipal Maintenance Facility, giving our team the opportunity to walk the project and see progress firsthand.

As the general contractor on this $11.7 million, multi-phase project for the City of Clayton, we’re renovating existing facilities while constructing new structures, all carefully phased to keep the existing facility open.

We’re proud of the progress and teamwork keeping this project on track.
