Thursday is a great day to SPOTLIGHT Team Corrigan!!

Project Name: St. Louis Zoo - Destination Discovery
Project Manager: Chris Abbott
Crew: Rich Fuller, Nate Muench, Kevin Walters, Devin Piotrowski, Carl Williams, Sr., Manuel Garza, Cameron Tabor, Konnor Krebeck

Our crew is installing an LSS System in support of the new Destination Discovery at the St. Louis Zoo. This includes all of the piping, pumps, filters and ozone system that supports the water treatment for the new Otter and Flamingo exhibits. There is close to 5,000 feet of underground HDPE piping supporting the exhibits, and a complicated equipment room with filters, pumps, heat exchangers, ozone generation equipment and a 34’ tall deaeration tower.

We are here to make our customers happy...You don't want an angry otter or disgruntled flamingo on your hands! 🦦🦩

Position Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Department: Accounting

Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Location: 100% on-site at 3545 Gratiot Street, St. Louis, Missouri

Summary: The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, payment activities, and supporting purchasing function as needed. This role maintains the integrity of the accounts payable ledger, assists with purchasing data entry, and supports month-end close.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Enter vendor and subcontractor invoices
• Perform two and three way matches for invoices
• Collaborate with purchasing department to resolve invoice discrepancies
• Maintain accuracy and completeness of the AP ledger
• Ensure timely processing of invoices
• Reconcile vendor and subcontractor statements
• Process and post company credit card transactions
• Prepare weekly check runs and facilitate ACH transactions
• Assist with new vendor setup and documentation requirements
• Coordinate with purchasing on pricing, approvals, and missing information
• Maintain organized records
• Prepare summaries, schedules, and reports as needed
• Deposit checks and maintain related records
• Prepare 1099 and use tax information for annual filings
• Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1+ years of accounts payable experience
• Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate (Timberline) experience preferred
• Background in purchasing or vendor management is a plus

Skills & Competencies:
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work confidently with numerical data
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to communicate professionally with vendors and internal stakeholders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
