Replaced an entry valve today. Not enough material coming through the foundation to also replace the set nut. Unlike a flared connection the position is fixed as it is soldered in.  the closest I could get too tight was at a 45° angle. Turned out pretty well and I was able to turn the water off at the street first try, this usually doesn’t happen. 🍀

Hello all, I am a master plumber since 2002, I cut my teeth during the Saint Charles building boom of the early 90s. I first branched off on my own in San Francisco as Artisan Plumbing working on high-end properties. I moved back to St. Louis in 2010 and rebranded as RedBird Plumbing (all my Plumbing friends hate that they didn’t think of it first🤣).
