A friendly annual reminder from Leiber HVAC âď¸âď¸
Take a few minutes and gently hose off your outdoor AC condenser or heat pump unit.
Pay extra attention to the side of the unit facing your house â thatâs usually where cottonwood, grass clippings, dust, and debris build up the most. Itâs easy to miss because you rarely see that side!
A gentle rinse (not a pressure washer!) can help your system breathe easier heading into Missouri summer season.
Little maintenance now can prevent big headaches later. đ

Free tip: hose off your air conditioner!
This is what your A/C unit looks like when itâs begging for help.
This photo isnât from some abandoned house. Itâs what happens when grass clippings, dust, and pollen build up on your outdoor condenser unit.
Dirty coils force your system to work harder = higher bills đ¸
Less heat escapes from your home = less comfort đ
And believe it or not, a little rinse with your garden hose actually helps cool your house.
When water hits clean coils and evaporates, it helps pull heat away from your system faster, like a built-in boost!
â
Donât use a pressure washer
â
Just hose it gently from top to bottom
â
Do it after you mow, and once more during peak summer heat
