Who thrives at W.W. Clyde & Co.?

Usually the people who like solving problems, working with strong teams, innovating in the office and in the field, and taking pride in work that lasts long after the job is done.

The people who do well here are curious, dependable, competitive, and not afraid to take ownership early.

If that sounds like you, we’re hiring across multiple teams and divisions: https://wwclyde.net/careers/

This week, we officially opened the doors to the new W.W. Clyde & Co. Spanish Fork Shop, a meaningful milestone during our 100th year in business.

For the past century, our Springville shop served as home base for generations of W.W. Clyde employees and projects. Just a few miles down the road, this new facility represents the next chapter for our company and our people — built to support the work ahead and the teams carrying our legacy forward.

We were grateful to celebrate alongside current team members, retired employees, past leadership, local community leaders, board members, and the next generation of the Clyde family. Seeing so many people connected through the history of this company was a meaningful reminder that W.W. Clyde has always been about more than construction. It has always been about people.

“Honoring Our Legacy, Building Our Future” was more than the theme of the event. It reflects the responsibility we feel to honor those who came before us while continuing to build something lasting for future generations.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this celebration so special and to the communities, employees, and partners who have made 100 years possible.

Most people never see this part.

Long before turbines spin or solar panels produce energy, heavy civil crews are building roads, preparing sites, managing drainage, and creating the infrastructure these projects depend on.

Once a project is complete, that work is easy to overlook. But it is what makes everything else possible.

At W.W. Clyde & Co., our crews understand how much work happens before the finished project is ever visible, and they take pride in building it the right way from the ground up.

Because long before energy reaches communities, somebody had to build the ground it stands on.

1964 | Dirty Devil & Colorado River Bridges

Some projects change the way people experience an entire region.

Following the completion of Glen Canyon Dam, W.W. Clyde & Co. was awarded the contract to build the Dirty Devil and Colorado River bridges, along with eight miles of approach roads — creating a critical connection in Utah’s “Golden Circle” route.

When the bridges opened in 1966, they connected Hanksville and Blanding with uninterrupted travel and expanded access to Lake Powell and Southern Utah for generations to come.

For 100 years, projects like these have reflected what W.W. Clyde was built on: solving tough challenges, connecting communities, and building infrastructure that stands the test of time.

10 points to anyone who can tell us which bridge was longer 👀 (Hint: the answer is in the article below.)

The fundamentals of construction haven’t changed.

Preparation. Precision. Ex*****on.

What has changed is the visibility behind them.

At W.W. Clyde & Co., our construction technology group, alongside trusted partners, is connecting data across projects to improve timing, accuracy, and decision-making in the field.

That shift is already changing how projects are delivered.

Road construction is in the middle of a quiet but significant evolution. The underlying solutions driving it are familiar—namely, machine control, reality capture, and integrated software. But the way those tools are connecting across the full project lifecycle is changing what contractors can del...

Too late to post? Never 😉

One of the best parts of this work is looking back at what teams accomplished together.

Projects move fast. Crews move on to the next challenge. But work done right leaves a lasting impact on the communities we serve.

Here’s a look back at some of W.W. Clyde & Co.’s top projects of 2025.

Part of the team? Tell us in the comments which project you worked on and where you’re building now 👇

In the 1960s, high-risk projects like Willard Bay tested more than technical skill—they tested character.

With limited tools and unpredictable conditions, W.W. Clyde & Co. leaders relied on in-person site visits and honest judgment to bid work fairly.

Sometimes it paid off.
Sometimes it didn’t.

What never changed was the commitment to stand by our word and own the outcome.
That’s integrity—and it’s defined W.W. Clyde for 100 years.
