🚛 THIS IS WHAT OUR FULL TRIAXLE LOAD LOOKS LIKE!

These photos show a few of our rocks we’ve hauled of exactly what our full triaxle loads look like when you order from Hobbs Hauling & Excavating.

🪨 33C: 21–22 tons
🪨 Chert Rock: Around 19 tons
🪨 #4 Limestone: Around 19–20 tons

The rocks weigh differently and vary in sizes, so the tonnage varies, but every one of these trucks is loaded FULL.

Different trucks have different capacities. There are different size beds, different axles, and different setups. So a “full load” can look different from one truck to another.

👉 This is what you pay for. This is what you get. A full truckload, loaded to the brim.

And yes, we tarp our loads! 😉🚛

We’ve had several people message us asking what box blading is, so we wanted to explain it!

Box blading is a more affordable way to bring an existing driveway back to life. We use a box blade to smooth out ruts, fill holes, reshape the driveway, and redistribute the rock you already have.

One of the questions we get all the time is, “What kind of rock should I put on my driveway?”

There isn’t one answer for every driveway, but these are a few of our most sold gravel:

🟠 CHERT
Our affordable favorite! Chert is a great budget-friendly option when you need to improve your driveway without breaking the bank. It’s tan in color

⚪ 33C
One of our go-to choices when you want something that’s going to hold up and last. It makes a great driveway material and is a customer favorite. It is white/gray in color.

🖤 ROAD MILLINGS
Looking for something closer to an asphalt-style driveway without the asphalt price tag? Road millings are a cheaper alternative that packs down nicely.

⚪ 57 LIMESTONE
A great option when you want larger stone with excellent drainage. It’s strong, dependable, and works great for a variety of driveway applications.

We hauled a few loads today, and you can really see how much the color of the chert changes depending on how wet it is. The first pile was before the rain, then the second load was hauled while it was raining. 🌧️

Once we saw how much moisture was getting into the material, we decided to stop hauling. We’d rather stop for the day than have our customers paying for water instead of rock!

We always want to make sure you’re getting what you’re paying for, and sometimes that means knowing when to park the truck and wait for Mother Nature to cooperate. 😂
