Totally cracks me up when I talk to one of my guys and hear stories about a superintendent calling them to do something that’s not even in their job description.

These people are handling your most important purchase EVER but they don’t even know what sub does what

🤣😂

Good luck with that

Builders everywhere next time you start thinking one of your subs is too expensive I invite you personally to do their job whatever it may be for 2-3 weeks and see if you really think that anymore. I personally just spent 3 damn weeks painting my personal house because well I wasn’t busy and this would be easy🤣😂. So those 3 damn weeks we’re doing a job that my painters could have done in no more than 3-4 days. I personally will never do that again, both my husband and myself fired ourselves more than once🤷‍♀️😂

Dear subcontractors you all know me well and should know not to blow smoke at me

If I’m texting you before 8 am either I really don’t want to forget to tell you something OR you lied to me and I just found out😡

If your reading this and think I’m talking about you well put that shoe on and wear it

I think it’s time to start promoting my company due to work starting to dry up, if your looking for no nonsense builder that builds first class and won’t cut corners on your most important purchase hit me up. If your looking for someone that says yes to everything I’m probably not your cup of tea.

This morning I’m reaching out to all builders to take time to do better. There is a young man in the hospital having surgery on a arm
Broke in three places, one of the breaks is a compound fracture. His back injuries are going to have to wait till arm is fixed.

This young man fell 2 stories not because of carelessness on his part but because of a discarded piece of lumber in a attic, this board was not up there for any reason other than it just got left there. He could possibly have life long issues just because someone was to lazy to discard one piece of wood and when he stepped down on it covered in insulation it came out from under him and he fell 2 stories.

So if you are a builder please pause a little in each house and look for this hazard it could save someone else from injury or maybe even death.

This did not happen on one of my job-sites I just heard the story from someone I trust and felt it needs to be paid attention to because over the 30 plus years I’ve been doing this I’ve actually seen this sort of thing in jobs and tossed the lumber just because I thought it was untidy never thinking I could be keeping someone safe.

If I could ask homeowners to do one thing it would be to PLEASE give your builder time to check the job, if work is done on Tuesday please wait till at least Wednesday at noon to start in on your concerns. Builders that have jobs in
Multiple cities and counties probably only get to check once a day and start early in the day so take a deep breath and just wait till the next day if you go every afternoon. If your builder starts their day at 3 am and you are blowing them up after 5 pm the response you get could be negative for sure. And yes I am referring to myself and my desire to bite. I have been building since 98 and between Pinterest and Google experts well I may need rabies shots😊. Have a great evening everyone.

Something I think homeowner’s really need to realized-some of your subcontractors actually get paid by the hour and are more than happy to stand around and talk to you all day but be ready for the bill when it comes in.😊
