Advocacy matters — especially during the insurance process.
This home in Weatherford, Texas was impacted by hail on 6-2-2025, with the initial insurance inspection completed on 10-22-2025.
From the start, the claim was underpaid.
Over the course of the project, there were 4 revisions to the scope of work:
đź“… 10-24-2025
đź“… 12-10-2025
đź“… 01-22-2026
đź“… 03-6-2026
The original claim came in at $38,926.38
The final approved amount: $58,705.15
That’s a difference of $19,778.78 — funds that were necessary to properly restore the home.
During the process, we worked through challenges with the adjuster. At the homeowner’s request, we pushed to have the file escalated to a supervisor rather than moving to appraisal. Once reassigned, the claim was handled appropriately and paid correctly.
🏠Roof Installed: 12-16-2025
🎨 Shingle Color: Black Shadow
When we began the work, we found:
🔹 Two layers of felt underlayment — removed down to the decking
🔹 Decking repairs needed to ensure a solid foundation
Ventilation was also lacking. The home originally had 4 turbines, and we upgraded it to 7 turbines total to allow for proper airflow and extend the life of the roof system.
🔨 Installed Atlas Roofing System:
🔹 Atlas Pinnacle® Impact Class 4 Shingles — built to withstand hail and severe weather
🔹 Atlas Summit® 60 Synthetic Underlayment — durable, high-performance protection
🔹 Atlas WeatherMaster® Ice & Water Shield — leak protection in critical areas
🔹 Atlas Pro-Cut® HP42 Starter Shingles — reinforced wind-uplift protection
🔹 Atlas StormMaster® Hip & Ridge — impact-resistant finishing system
We say this often because it’s true:
If you were in a car accident, you wouldn’t use the other person’s attorney.
The same applies to insurance claims — representation matters.
At M&D Roofing, we advocate for our clients, document thoroughly, and make sure the job is done right — not just approved quickly.
