A few years back, Cheryl & I ventured to Padre Island in Texas to escape the Minnesota cold and visit friends from Springfield who wintered in the south. I enjoyed walking the beach of Padre Island and talking to fishermen as they stalked their quarry. The Gulf of Mexico brings back memories of a fall and winter spent in Clearwater-Dunedin, Florida, in the early 1970s.
