Earlier this month, ELP plumbing foreman Trever Loafman attended the United Association's 41st Constitutional Convention in San Diego as a delegate for Local Union 137.

As a first-time delegate, Trever spent five days alongside fellow tradespeople discussing organized labor, the importance of mental health support, what it takes to maintain a strong trade association & more. Awesome to see Trever representing our area on a national stage.

📍 Project Update: Springfield, Illinois

We're excited to bring AFP's facility improvement expertise to the Springfield Park District.

At the Fun Shop, new energy-efficient HVAC equipment is being relocated to improve maintenance and operations while creating space for the upcoming roof and solar installation.

At the Nelson Center, roofing work is getting underway as the team prepares the facility for the upcoming Springfield Jr. Blues season and the community that relies on it.

Shout-out to E.L. Pruitt Mechanical Contractors and Meyer Roofing for being great partners on this project. We appreciate all your hard work!

We're excited to be part of this project and look forward to sharing more progress from Springfield as the work continues.

Meet our Civil Superintendent, John LeGrand. John has worked in underground construction for 28 years, and we’re excited to have him on our team.

In his spare time? He and wife Dena love spending time with their four grandkids (the youngest calls them Pop Pop and Maam). 😍 John recently completed a 16-day guys trip to California and back on his motorcycle (6,250 miles!). One son and a step-son work in the trades, while John's oldest is a PM for StandardAero.

Our Civil Division team has been busy! Pictured below replacing lead lines for the City of Springfield. Joe Audi ran the boring machine to bring in a new copper water service, while Aaron Sagle got it connected inside the home. So long lead lines!
