Soon to be back at work. The past few years have been very trying. Went through four shoulder surgeries, two on each. Have lost just about everything except my hope and hope carries no guarantees. My trusty truck, Otis and myself, have been around the block several thousand times. I looked at the time as sorta of a personal experiment. I have made several new friends and lost several old. Some I will never forget and some I would like to forget. Each one has a special place in my life. I have learnt more in the past few years than I could have imagined. Before I go Otis, would like to wish Sylvia the best and keep Kristi safe, as she drives. Smile, Jerry.

Things have been going well. The 4th or 5th of January three freeze plugs did their job. Two easily found, the problem was the third was under the valve cover, undetectable till a friend put 11 gallons of water in a 7 gal. cooling system. I knew a problem existed. Checking the oil confirmed an issue. I feared one that could of been the death of the engine. After seeing that the oil was full of water I thought the block cracked. I call International and talked to a tech. who said that it was most likely an o-ring went bad on one of the cylinders. I was hopeful that it was just that an o ring. Then I thought, how would I do the repairs?, no tools. A person in my near past refuses to give them to me. She said, I will need to take her to small claims court to find relief, so be it. This same person has claimed to of owned my tree service. The same person has called various agencies to try to cancel insurances, my state licenses and called other state agencies to cause other problems. From what I can put together she has said a lot of crap which I can show is just that. She has blamed me for everything that has happened to her. Thefts, fire, more thefts. This blame all went elsewhere. Claims of threats I made to her, like statements of having a police officer go with me so I could get my tools. I still can't believe they will let her steal my things, it's just that as defined under Oregon Law. She has spun a lot of lies has told numerous stories. I ask just how many people believe her? I think the ones that can't see through the Norma bu****it, ones that wont look any further than what she says, the good news there are fewer of you. Stories told of thing burned, stolen, what I did or didn't do, each just as bad as the other. She has made it hard for me but I've been on this side of the street before. The last income brought in by my tree service while at her shop she kept. She claimed, she deserved it. I guess that goes for most all the income from my tree service she took. Vengeance in the most part sucks. When a person lies, makes bu****it stories up, tries to impede another for vengeance that's the bottom of the barrel. I will say the few people that have seen past her stories have been more than helpful with the information and help towards the pending legal claims, Thank you. To the ones who can ask for the insight I will show the evidence and you decide. She has made it hard for this business to keep running but running it is, better now that I have a trustworthy person replacing the not so. A corporation can bring legal claims against a individual. I will see first how this works. It was explained by an attorney that like in other courts a persons past convictions can be used as evidence if it is related. In the case soon to be filed it is directly related. These cases are not being brought up for any vengeance or anything other than the demand for me to do so, to find the relief from the vengeance brought to me. Sounds like a lot of trouble to go through to get back what is mine, so be it. The truck issue was even better as I hoped. I barrowed enough tools to do the repairs and after $400.00 of oil, oil filters and water filter the truck is up and running.

I think working safe is the most important aspect of any job. On Feb. 28, 2014 I was watching another tree service working across from a friends small engine repair shop. The person running the bucket truck did a foolish thing, could of been life threatening. He had tied a nylon strap to the bucket and used it to pull part of the tree trunk and attached limb out of the other branches. These aerial lifts are limited to 350 lbs. total weight. of course he knew just from looking at the load, combined with his weight and the force needed to pull it free from the other branches was less than 350 lbs. allowed. This kind of thinking will someday get someone hurt or killed.
