Mechanic/Yard Supervisor
Needed for company located in Union County.
- A high-end landscape, sitework and construction company is seeking an experienced mechanic to work on its fleet trucks, heavy diesel trucks and various construction equipment.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience required.
- Must possess basic tools.
- Work in an enclosed shop with a friendly work environment.
- Welding experience is a plus.
- Extremely competitive hourly rates.
- Must have reliable transportation, as well as be able to pass drug screen.

- Have experience working with commercial blowers, trimmers, trucks, trailers, construction equipment, snowplows, salt spreaders and snow plowing equipment.
- Be able to maintain and service power equipment on a routine basis to prevent on the job breakdowns.
- Must be organized and document all work, and services performed, perform parts ordering and inventory control of common parts.
- Bilingual Spanish a plus.
- Salary based upon experience.
Requirements:
- 5 plus years of hands-on experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, small engine diesel, gasoline, and fleet vehicle repair & maintenance.
- Continually evaluates the status of equipment and communicates these issues to the operations Manager.
- This person is responsible for maintenance and repair of all construction equipment, tools & vehicles.
- Must possess the ability to troubleshoot & diagnose equipment.
- Performs routine maintenance on equipment and determines when & what kind of maintenance is needed.
- Must be able to travel to construction job sites to evaluate, inspect and repair construction equipment.
- Must be flexible with work hours to deal with urgent equipment failures or jobsite needs.
- Must have a valid driver's license to operate company vehicles or drive for business purposes.
