One of Clark County’s Largest Elm Trees Removed in Springfield

Last week, the crew at C&S Tree Service completed one of the most challenging tree removals we’ve tackled in recent years in Springfield, Ohio. Standing high above the surrounding homes and dominating the property, this massive elm tree was believed to be one of the largest remaining elm trees in Clark County. Due to the enormous size of the tree and its location near homes and other structures, careful planning and precision were critical. Safety remained the top priority throughout the entire project.

To complete the removal, our experienced crew utilized two aerial lifts working simultaneously, allowing us to safely access multiple sections of the canopy while maintaining complete control over every cut. Large limbs were systematically removed piece by piece before the trunk was dismantled.

The project required two full days of work by skilled operators and ground crew members. Every section had to be carefully lowered and managed to prevent damage to nearby buildings and landscaping.

By the end of the project, thousands of pounds of wood and debris had been safely removed, leaving the property secure and ready for future improvements. What once towered over the neighborhood is now reduced to a massive stump that serves as a reminder of the size and history of this remarkable tree.
