Celebrating 10 Years of Building Homes, Serving People, and Honoring Christ.
As we approach our 10-year anniversary, we’ve taken time to reflect on the journey—every family served, every challenge faced, and every blessing along the way. What began with a single $235 invoice has now grown into a decade of impact, with over 610 families served through consultations, designs, or completed projects.
Our second invoice didn’t come for more than a month, and our third didn’t arrive for another month—just days after we officially became insured in December. Those early days were slow, uncertain, and humbling. But they were foundational. They taught us perseverance, stewardship, and faith.
Choosing our company name took time and prayer. We wanted something that would give us the opportunity to speak about Christ—not always through words, but through the way we conduct ourselves, serve our clients, and steward the gifts we’ve been given.
On December 31st we filed for our LLC {Cornerstone Life} Construction LLC was born. We chose to embrace {Cornerstone Life} to remind us and hopefully send a subtle message that our foundation in life is everything.
Over the years, we’ve had many meaningful conversations about faith. We’ve also served many who don’t know Christ or choose not to believe. Our hope is that we honored God by simply serving them well—showing Christ through our actions, our honesty, and our commitment to excellence, even in our humility.
We’ve had failures. We’ve had hard conversations. We’ve worn every hat possible and learned firsthand what it means to juggle the demands of small business ownership.
We learned quickly that doing our own taxes was not one of the hats we should be wearing!
Through the highs and lows, this business has helped provide for over 50 families through employment, subcontracting relationships, and partnerships with local businesses. That impact is something we are deeply grateful for.
By 2022, we expanded into 3D designs and set plans, investing in the software and equipment needed to bring clients’ visions to life before a single hammer swings. Since then, we’ve completed more than 20 full design projects—from whole-home remodels and additions to kitchens, baths, and decks.
Entering Year 11 With Purpose
As we move into our next decade, we’re committed to scaling with more intention and clarity—for our clients and for our team.
This means:
We will offer limited job slots in each category to ensure quality and focus.
We will only take on construction projects when we also provide the design + set plans, allowing us to job-cost with accuracy, reduce surprises, and set clear expectations.
We are moving toward a more holistic, whole-home approach, creating spaces where families can thrive—not just function.
Our mission is the same as it’s always been:
