Before the first cold snap arrives, give your heating system a little attention.

September is a great time to:

• Replace your HVAC filter
• Have your heating system inspected and serviced
• Check that all vents and registers are open and unobstructed
• Test your thermostat and make sure it’s working properly
• Check exterior doors and windows for noticeable drafts
• If you have a fireplace, have the chimney and flue inspected if they’re due for service

A little preventative maintenance now can help your system run more efficiently, catch small problems before they become expensive repairs, and make sure your home is ready when you actually need the heat.

Your future self will appreciate taking care of it before the first really cold morning.

This Springfield home is making great progress, with the rooflines, dormers, covered outdoor spaces, and detached garage all starting to define the character of the home.

There’s still plenty of work ahead, but it’s exciting to see this home come together for the family who will soon call it home.

It's the little things that say the most about who you are. ❤️

Today, our Site Superintendent, Greg, and Project Manager, Kyle, were busy working on one of our projects when they noticed a young boy walking his bike up a hill because his chain had popped off.

They stopped what they were doing, took a few minutes, and got him back on his way.

It was a small gesture, but it says a lot about the kind of people they are.

At John Marion Custom Homes, we treat every project with the same care we would if we were building for our own family, and we're proud that our team carries that same spirit into the community.

Great homes are built by great people. And we think we've got some of the best.
