Outlet stopped working? Before you call, check this.

Many outlets in kitchens, bathrooms, garages, and outdoors are protected by a GFCI, the outlet with TEST and RESET buttons. When it trips, it can cut power to other outlets on the same line, even in another room.

1. Find the GFCI outlet nearby.
2. Press RESET firmly until it clicks.
3. Power back? You're set.

If it won't reset, trips again right away, or the outlet feels warm, stop there and give us a call. That's a sign something else is going on.
