Backflow prevention can look a whole lot different depending on what it’s protecting.

A commercial installation may involve a much larger assembly, heavier piping and a completely different set of demands than what you’ll see at a residence. But the job is the same: **keep water from flowing the wrong direction and contaminating the potable water supply.**

And it isn’t as simple as throwing a backflow preventer in the line.

The correct assembly has to match the application, be installed properly, remain accessible for testing and service, and meet the requirements for that particular system.
