Backyard Tulip Poplar climb 💪🏻

Heavy trim bringing the power-line side back to proper laterals, removing stobs, deadwood, and broken limbs. Raised the canopy, cleaned out the downward hangers, reshaped the crown, and hauled off the debris.

Clean tree. Proper structure. Done right. 🙌🏻

Not every tree needs to come down.
Some just need support. 💪🏼

Tree cabling is a proactive way to protect structurally weak limbs, split trunks, or heavy overextended branches. We install high-strength steel cables high in the canopy to reduce stress, prevent failure, and extend the life of your tree.

✔️ Protect your home
✔️ Reduce storm risk
✔️ Preserve mature trees
✔️ Strengthen weak unions

If you’ve got a tree with a heavy lean, a split, or large competing leaders let us take a look. Call Canopy Tree Service today for your free assessment.

⚠️ STORM PREP UPDATE – SPRINGFIELD, MO ⚠️
Big winter weather is headed our way this weekend, with heavy snow, possible sleet, and strong winds expected. These conditions can be rough on trees—and rougher on anything under them.

Here’s what our customers should know and do now:

🌳 What to Expect
• Heavy, wet snow can overload limbs
• Sleet + snow increases breakage risk
• Wind + ice = higher chance of falling branches or whole trees
• Damage may not show up until after the storm passes

🪵 What You Can Do Before the Storm
✔️ Move vehicles away from trees if possible
✔️ Secure loose items (tarps, swings, decorations)
✔️ Take photos of trees near your home before the storm (helps with insurance if needed)
✔️ Avoid trimming during icy conditions—it can be dangerous and make damage worse

🚫 During the Storm
• Stay clear of trees and hanging limbs
• Do NOT attempt to cut or pull down damaged branches
• Treat downed limbs like they’re energized—especially near lines

🌲 After the Storm
• Watch for cracked, hanging, or leaning limbs
• Trees may look “okay” but still be compromised
• Delayed failures are common days later once temps rise

📞 We’re Ready
Canopy Tree Service will be responding to storm damage calls as conditions allow. Emergency work will be prioritized for blocked driveways, structures, and safety hazards.

If you’re unsure whether a tree is safe—call us before it becomes an emergency.

Stay warm, stay safe, and we’ll see you on the other side of the storm.

‼️BE ON THE LOOK OUT FOR THESE INVASIVE PESTS‼️

The spotted lanternfly is an invasive insect that weakens trees by feeding on sap and leaves behind a sticky residue that leads to black mold and long-term damage.

👀 How to identify them:
• Gray wings with black spots and red underwings (adults)
• Black or red bodies with white spots (nymphs)
• Mud-like egg masses on bark, outdoor furniture, or equipment

🌳 Why it matters:
They stress trees, spread quickly, and make them more vulnerable to disease and storm damage. And they attract ants, wasps and yellow jackets.

📞 What to do:
If you see one, kill it, take a photo, and report it to the Missouri Department of Agriculture. If your trees show signs of stress, sticky residue, or dieback, call a professional.

Canopy Tree Service is here to help protect your trees and your property. Early action makes all the difference.
