As Warehouse Worker Recognition Week comes to a close, we are proud to recognize the team that works behind the scenes to keep O’Shea Builders moving!

Our warehouse team keeps tools and equipment organized and ready for our jobsites, coordinates deliveries, makes jobsite runs, and supports our teams whenever and wherever they are needed. From early mornings to late nights and after-hours needs, their hard work and willingness to lend a hand make a difference across our company every day.

Brock has quickly established himself as a trusted leader on site. In his first project leading on his own, he has done an outstanding job anticipating the client’s needs, identifying potential issues before they become problems, and confidently making decisions when there is not always a set of drawings or specifications to rely on. His technical knowledge, strong communication with the office team, and ability to build lasting client relationships have earned the trust of project managers, safety representatives, and QC teams.

Whether he is navigating challenging job site conditions or managing projects with little room for error, Brock continues to lead with professionalism and a positive attitude. His willingness to take ownership, keep projects moving, and maintain strong relationships with both clients and coworkers makes him a great example of the O'Shea Way.

Congratulations to Austin Landess on his recent promotion to Civil Project Engineer!

Austin has been with O’Shea Builders for six years, consistently demonstrating a strong work ethic and a commitment to continued growth. His favorite part of the job is building projects where he can model the work and verify grades before the field crews ever break ground.

He is currently working on projects at Springfield High School, Owen Marsh Elementary School, Veterans Memorial in Forsyth, and Hillsboro Hospital. Reflecting on his career with O’Shea, Austin says this promotion is his biggest highlight. After working toward this opportunity for nearly two years, he is excited to continue growing his career and advancing within the civil construction field.

We’re excited to see all Austin continues to accomplish in his new role!

Congratulations to Dylan Conley-Keck on his recent promotion to Project Manager!

Dylan has been with O’Shea Builders for eight months and has quickly embraced the opportunity to grow within the company. His favorite part of the job is working directly with our experienced Carpenters, Ironworkers, and Laborers, learning from their expertise while helping projects move forward.

He is currently managing projects with our industrial clients in Decatur. Reflecting on his time with O’Shea, Dylan says one of the highlights of his career so far has been touring the Springfield High School job site. As a member of the SHS Class of 2017, he says it was a privilege to see the incredible work taking place at his alma mater.

We’re excited to see all Dylan continues to accomplish in his new role!

Please help us welcome Madisyn Hanson to the O’Shea Builders team! Madisyn joined O’Shea Builders earlier this spring as a Brand Intern, supporting our Marketing team with a variety of brand and marketing efforts. Following her recent graduation from Illinois State University, Madisyn is now stepping into her new role as Marketing Coordinator. We are excited to have Madisyn continue to grow her career with O’Shea Builders and look forward to the creativity, energy, and perspective she continues to bring to the team!

Madisyn shares, “I knew O’Shea Builders was the right place for me because of the strong sense of community I felt from the start, along with the company’s genuine commitment to making a positive impact beyond its walls.”

We would like to congratulate Ken Throgmorton, better known as “Frog,” on his retirement!

Ken came to work for O’Shea Builders in December of 2022 and was instrumental in establishing O’Shea’s pump truck as an asset to the company and a service to our project teams and other contractors. Ken treated the pump truck (and the belt truck) as if it belonged to him. He spent many hours operating, cleaning, and servicing the pump truck while also mentoring those who would be his successors. We have admired the pride and ownership he has shown in his craft.

We wish Frog all the best in his future endeavors and thank him for his service to O’Shea! Check out one of our favorite Frog moments below!

O’Shea Builders partnered with The Outlet and Lincoln Land Community College to host a group of young men interested in learning more about construction. Throughout the week, students gained both educational and hands-on experience, learning to collaborate on projects, operate tools, and explore opportunities within the construction industry and skilled trades. The group worked on a community project in partnership with Wooden It Be Lovely, cutting and sanding plywood shapes that will later be decorated and sold with all proceeds benefiting the Wooden It Be Lovely program. It was a rewarding week of learning, teamwork, and community involvement! O’Shea Builders is proud to support programs that inspire and equip the next generation of skilled trades professionals.
