🏆💪 CHALLENGE COIN RECOGNITION 👷‍♂️🚧

A big congratulations to Bradley Walker, who received a Challenge Coin this week for his outstanding leadership, performance, and commitment to safety on the job site!

Bradley played a key role in overseeing and helping complete a challenging underground detention excavation while making sure the work was done safely.

But what really stood out was his awareness of those around him. While operating an excavator, Bradley noticed a subcontractor cutting metal with a saw without proper eye and face protection. Instead of looking the other way, he stopped what he was doing and spoke up about the unsafe situation.

👏 THAT is what true safety leadership looks like!

Bradley demonstrated that safety isn't just about protecting yourself. It's about looking out for EVERYONE on the job site.

🪙 Challenge Coin Recognition — Josh Fielden

Josh Fielden was recently presented with a Williams Construction Challenge Coin for stepping up and accepting the challenge to be the “safety guy” when our Safety Director, Doug Browning isn’t available.

Josh has done an outstanding job documenting safety issues in his daily reports, staying alert on the jobsite, and most importantly—taking action when something doesn’t look right.

Recently, Josh identified a safety concern and took the time to put a temporary solution in place to make sure no one got hurt. He then communicated the issue directly with our Safety Director and the subcontractor’s Safety Director. That communication ultimately led to a productive team-building meeting focused on improving safety moving forward.

That’s exactly what these Challenge Coins represent—taking ownership, speaking up, communicating, and looking out for everyone on the jobsite.

Great job, Josh. Thank you for stepping up and continuing to help make safety a priority every single day. 👏

This week, we’re proud to recognize Buddy Compton and Chase Horton with Safety Challenge Coins for helping keep our teams safe.

Buddy brought to our attention the need for WEX Superintendents to have a specific type of ladder on their trucks for safe entry into confined spaces and excavations. Recognizing a need before it becomes a problem is exactly the kind of proactive thinking we want to encourage.

Chase earned his coin for putting that equipment to use in the field and for bringing forward a great safety question while on a job site.

Safety isn’t just about following procedures—it’s about paying attention, asking questions, speaking up, and looking out for the people around you.

Progress is moving right along at Evangel Temple! 🚧

Bass trap framing is in, sound booth framing is underway, and camera pedestals are complete. Drywall is 99% finished, dry fall is nearly complete, and priming has officially begun.

Behind the scenes, electrical and HVAC rough-ins are still moving forward as wire is being pulled throughout the space.

Another exciting project taking shape! 🏗️

Williams Construction is proud to be working with a leading HVAC distributor, on their new 35,252-square-foot facility in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

The new building will include approximately 5,300 square feet of office, training, and mercantile space, creating a facility designed to support Johnstone Supply’s team, customers, and continued growth.

🪙 Challenge Coin Recognition!

This week, we’re proud to recognize Tyrell Hanks, Andy Jenkins, and Kenneth Christian for going above and beyond when it comes to safety on the job.

☑️ Tyrell identified a potential hazard, developed a solution, and made sure it was properly documented.

☑️ Andy took the initiative to address a safety concern and went the extra mile to find an effective solution.

☑️ Kenneth recognized a subcontractor compliance issue and immediately brought it to the right attention, allowing it to be addressed quickly and documented properly.

Safety is everyone’s responsibility, and these three are great examples of what it means to see something, take action, and look out for the entire team.

Congratulations, Tyrell, Andy, and Kenneth — well deserved! 👏🦺
