Today the Council’s leadership bid a fond farewell to MACRC Training Program Director Vince Sticca, who’s retiring after 49 years of service to the Brotherhood, including 11 as Executive Director of the training program. EST Gary Perinar, President Jeff Isaacson, and Vice President Joel Pogose presented Vince with a Proclamation from the State of Illinois declaring Jan. 1, 2023 as Vincent J. Sticca, Jr. Appreciation Day in honor of his service training generations of union carpenters and the countless lives he touched throughout his storied career. Please join us in wishing Vince the very best in his retirement. Godspeed!

Thank you to everyone that was able to attend our 2022 Christmas Party & Pin Ceremony!! A wonderful time had by all!!

We collected over 10 'full to the brim' totes of new toys to donate to St. John's Hospital Childrens/PICU toy room!!!!!

Check out this cool story in the Illinois Times about a catapult project members of worked on in partnership with Lincoln Land Community College and the Illinois Department of Transportation. This was a great opportunity to teach young students about curriculum and the mathematical side of the building trades. Thanks to Local 270 members Riki Dial, Dave Colonius, Matt Hill, Dwayne Anderson and Raymond Colonius for their work on this unique volunteer project.
