Another one in the books!

Our crews wrapped up a soil nail wall for the new H-E-B pharmacy in Frisco, TX. Close to 500 feet of wall holding back up to 12 feet of dirt so the building could go in, while threading the needle for existing utilities and planning nail locations for new ones.

Thanks to the crew for a safe, clean install, and to Hutchinson Construction, LLC , EMJ, and Braun Intertec for being great partners on this one.

A commercial excavation in Rogers, Arkansas needed a shoring solution that could keep the project moving — fast, safe, and built to spec.

FSGC partnered with Don Peters Construction Inc. and worked alongside Olsson Engineering to design and install a soil nail wall and shotcrete system supporting 960 SF of excavation for the Crossfit NWA project.

The team installed #8 Grade 75 All-Thread soil nail bars in 6" diameter boreholes, followed by shotcrete application to stabilize the wall face and sidewalk — with full engineering, drilling, installation, and QC handled start to finish. A production load test confirmed the soil nails met geotechnical engineering requirements before turning the site back over.

The result: a complete soil nail and shotcrete excavation support system, delivered in less than two weeks — keeping the project on schedule without compromising on quality or safety.

Not all retaining walls are built the same.

In excavation support, each system has a specific purpose:

· Soldier piles create the main retaining wall.

· Sheet piles form a continuous barrier to hold back soil or water.

· Tiebacks are anchored into the ground behind the wall to provide additional support.
