Rooted Lawn Worx We are a residential and commercial lawn maintenance company serving eastern Iowa.

We are from Springbrook, Iowa and “Rooted” in the Bellevue area and surrounding community. We enjoy working outdoors and have a passion for creating beautiful, nicely manicured lawns.

(Friday, 09/18) It’s a bit squishy out there! Due to the constant rain this week, we are behind on our weekly mowing schedule. Please be patient with us as we wait for things to dry up a bit and get caught up. We plan to mow at a slightly higher cut to reduce excess discharge for lawns that have grown quickly due to all the extra rain.

It appears they are calling for more rain throughout the weekend as well.

A couple weeks into spring and we’re back at sharpening blades and cleaning decks. Cutting grass with a sharp blade ensures a clean, surgical cut that allows the plant to heal quickly and focus energy on growth rather than repair. We sharpen blades about every two to three weeks depending on how thick our client’s grass is and how fast the blades dull.

First week of spring 2026 mowing in the books and behind us. Needless to say, some lawns are still a tad wet in low areas due to weeks of rain, as things were beginning to look like hayfields and certainly needed cut. Let’s hope we get a good 4-5 days to dry things out a bit. Next phase….clean up and a day of rest.

Today we installed a residential RainDrip irrigation system for a client. The system has two zones. One zone is for lilies along the side of the home. A second zone for the flower garden. The system is 150ft with over two dozen irrigation heads. Different heads provide water in 360°, 180°, oscillation, and drip patterns to various plants and flowers. Under the system, we laid premium w**d fabric. The client will finish things off with some fresh mulch in the coming days.

Did we mention we can pickup your favorite color and brand of mulch, deliver and even lay it down for you. Just tell us how many bags you want, what brand and color, and we’ll get it on our calendar for you. Cost is based on time, fuel charge and materials.

Yesterday we picked up 55 bags of red mulch and 7 bags of top soil. Note: we offer this service when yards are wet or inclement weather is pending and we can’t mow until the ground drys (as to not tear up our clients yards.)

We’re ready to mow! Now, just have to get a few days to dry things out. It’s certainly been a stormy week with more storms predicted tomorrow and throughout the weekend. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone soon and getting your yards cleaned up and looking good.
