😂 Being a plumber means you see some weird things in bathrooms…

But today’s mystery happened in my own house.

Walked into the bathroom and discovered a FULL BITE taken out of the bar of soap. 🧼🦷

Suspect: One of my sons.
Motive: unknown.
Review: apparently not good enough for a second bite. 😂

As a plumber, I’d like to remind everyone:

Soap goes on your hands.
Toilet paper goes in the toilet.
And neither one is a snack.

**STORM DAMAGE? BEFORE YOU HIRE THE GUY AT YOUR DOOR… READ THIS.**

After a night of storms, you may see people going door-to-door offering tree removal, roof repairs, cleanup, or other storm-damage services.

Some are legitimate businesses. **Some may not be.** And when your yard is a mess, and you just want things fixed, it can be tempting to say, “Sure, when can you start?”

But take a minute.

In the **City of Springboro, solicitors must have a permit.** That means they have gone through the City’s permitting process, including a **background check**, and have received the City’s **“Do Not Solicit” list.**

So before you hand over a deposit—or let someone start tearing things apart—do a little homework.

**Research the company.** Check reviews and look for a history of doing business in the area.

**READ THE CONTRACT.** All of it. Yes, even the tiny print we all want to skip. Pay attention to what is included, the cost, cancellation terms, warranties, and who is actually performing the work.

**Don’t pay the entire bill upfront.** Be cautious of anyone demanding full payment before the work has even started.

**Don’t let someone pressure you at your front door.** A reputable contractor should have no problem with you taking time to verify their business and compare your options.

**Ask about their solicitor’s permit.** If they are going door-to-door in Springboro, they should be properly permitted.

And remember:
**You don't have to decide on the spot.**

Storm damage is stressful. A fast-talking contractor with a clipboard shouldn't be making the situation more stressful.

Take a breath. Do your research. Get the details in writing.

A few minutes of homework can save you a whole lot of trouble later.

You may have noticed the little bottles of limestone water sitting at the bar. We have had quite a few questions about it, so we figured we would answer here.

Adding just a small amount of limestone water to bourbon can soften the spirit and help open it up, allowing some of the flavors and aromas that can be hidden beneath the alcohol to come forward. You may notice more of the vanilla, caramel, oak and spice that make each bourbon unique.

It’s a small addition, but it can change the way you experience the pour.

So next time you order a bourbon, try adding a couple drops of limestone water and see what you discover.

We’ve seen it used in some odd ways and we’re not here to judge. Whatever floats your boat, we’re not here to sink it! 😜

🚨 TODAY’S PLUMBING EMERGENCY: MAN DOWN. 🚨

Got called out to a preschool today for a toilet that wasn’t exactly flushing like it should…

Sent the camera down and suddenly saw the top of somebody’s head staring back at me. 😳😂

After a successful recovery operation, we discovered the suspect:

One Little People toy.

No injuries reported.

Toilet is expected to make a full recovery.

The suspect has been removed from the premises. 🚽👮‍♂️
