The Southlake Texas branch of the Brickman Group helped plant new beds at the Bear Creek Community Church. The Southlake group, led by Bevin Nieman, arrived early and begun digging up the older flowers beds. The beds were replaced with a combination of shrubs and perennials.

The garden was founded by Brother Gerald Taylor as a way to unite the community. People from the neighborhood have a free opportunity to come and plant and garden with their families. Part of the garden also serves as a bee and butterfly habitat.

Brother Taylor passed away 4 weeks ago from a terminal illness. His legacy is continued by Brother Dale Ward and the Bear Creek Community Church.

The 419 Katy team took some time out of their busy schedules for some team building. The team touched on topics such as Brickman culture and values, the importance of safety, equipment maintenance basics, irrigation basics and a number of other industry topics. Big thanks to everyone for their great feedback and discussions and also a big thanks to our friends from Outdoor Equipment and Winfield for coming out and helping. It was a great day!
