⚠️ Don’t Let a Dead Battery Leave You Stuck Outside Your Gate ⚠️
Most people assume the batteries in their LiftMaster gate operator are only there for backup power during an outage. In reality, most modern LiftMaster operators run on battery power all the time, and the AC power simply keeps those batteries charged.
Over time, batteries, terminals, and wire connectors can become corroded, causing poor performance, intermittent operation, or complete gate failure when you least expect it.
🔧 These photos show a recent repair where we replaced heavily corroded battery connectors and restored reliable operation.
LiftMaster recommends inspecting and replacing batteries periodically (typically every 2–3 years depending on usage and conditions). Waiting until the gate quits working can leave you stranded outside your property—or unable to secure it when you leave.
