Start of a kitchen remodel featuring the “ No “ in
Nic-No Ent.

This kitchen will be receiving a brand new set of cabinets as well as removal of the drop ceiling and retention of the gorgeous skylight.

After many hours of drywall work.

Walls and ceiling have been repainted, and brand new ceiling fans added in every room.

All of the concrete in the house has been sealed to prevent anything from not only leaching into the concrete from spills or messes but to prevent any smells from leaching out of the concrete onto the new hardwood flooring.

Work continues on the Lustron home as weather allows, we have repaired many of the rust spots,holes, and “patchwork” previously done through the years. We had to go as far as rebuilding some of the panels entirely.

We look forward to completing the project and bringing this piece of history back to its former glory

Fun fact,

In the 1950's after winning wwll there were not enough homes in the nation to house the men and women coming home.
Thus the Lustron home was born, these are press form solid steal home inside and out including the roof, cabinetry, and doors. Designed to be sturdy and quick to assemble.
There are only about 1500 of these left in the nation and only a select few able to perform maintenance on the home, stay tuned as we body work and reseal this entire home bringing it back to it's former glory.
