A little late posting this, but the The Kite Festival at Grand Haven was one of those reminders of why we love living in West Michigan.

Ambrose was absolutely convinced he was part of the festival while flying his kite all over the beach, while Nova was taking everything in.

Moments like this are what make Grand Haven such a special place to live, raise a family, and build community.

While Leah and Nova were getting their nails done for some girl time, Ambrose and I stopped by Home Realty. One of the biggest reasons I chose to be here is because of the family-oriented atmosphere. Great agents, strong leadership, and people who genuinely care. Grateful to be surrounded by that kind of community.

Helping bring the Amy Vander Linden vision to life for this Fisher 3 Vacation Rentals property.

We painted the entire home, added two custom striped accent walls, and painted several shiplap walls to help transform the space into a memorable Airbnb for guests.

And of course, I had my little helper with me every step of the way… even if he disappeared occasionally 😂

The best part of this work is helping create spaces where families can make memories.

Rainy days like today are perfect for slowing down and reading a book.

My son just got his first library card and was so excited. Watching that reminded me why I do what I do.

There aren’t many things in life that make you feel like a kid again—but finding the right home or transforming the one you already love can bring that feeling back.

That’s what I love most about real estate and renovations—helping people create spaces they’re excited to come home to.

While I was out running estimates, my wife and kids spent the morning at Hoffmaster State Park for the Budding Naturalist program (ages 2–6).

Story time, a beach hike, and a recycled craft—all centered around Earth Day.

A good reminder that the best learning is hands-on and outside.

Free, local, and something special about this community.

Next one is April 30th—theme is mushrooms 🍄

Yesterday my wife and I took our kids to Healthy Kids Day at the Grand Haven YMCA, and I’ve got to say—it was an awesome experience.

Everyone there was incredibly friendly, and it’s clear they’ve built something really special for families in the community. The renovations they’ve done are seriously impressive too—clean, updated, and very well thought out.

While we’re not sending our kids there for preschool, I would absolutely recommend checking it out if you’re considering it. Grand Haven is lucky to have a place like this.

Moments like this are exactly why we love being part of this community—whether it’s helping families find the right home or improving the spaces they live in.
