When Jess and I decided to start our business of Heating and AC, we entered the market and we struggled hard the first two “start up years”! I Burned through a few trucks, traveled crazy distances for work, took on every challenge that came our way. Our youngest son Jacob helped start things up and actually designed our Logo. Jacob worked with me for a while until he joined the Air Force. When Alex came back home from the Air Force, we eventually Hiring him full time.
As our customer base grew, we were extremely blessed by our community. We had a simple business model: Provide excellent, time sensitive and honest service. We donated time and equipment to some customers in dire need. We donated to charities we support. We reinvested into our company and we learned so much, sometimes the hard way.
Tonight I would like to explain why timely service is no longer something I can provide. I work alone as my only employee (our son Alex) moved to a far off land. I have tried for a couple years to make it alone. I have not been successful in recruiting a replacement Alex.
Now I am facing a full knee replacement and I can no longer manage stairs, kneeling or ladders.
I tried, I did my best, I can do no more. I’m in pain all day, every day and the shots don’t work anymore.
This means I am finishing the installations I have started. Unfortunately, until this knee replacement is done, and I am fully healed. I am putting my beloved company on pause. The Dr says best case scenario is one year before I can kneel effectively for this type of work.
Our future is undetermined at this point, I hope to get back to doing service calls as soon as possible.
Thank you for your loyalty over the years, I’m still here, but I will be very limited in what I can do at this point.
God bless and we will see you at Sam’s Place.
