Power. For a creature that does not bite or sting they sure can send people, running, yelling, or having sleepless nights. Have you ever been around someone the first time they realize some species fly? Sheer terror. So they scurry and do what they want with no regard for us. Roaches have a purpose they are recyclers of plant and animal and animal waste and they release nitrogen. They help keep our outdoor environment healthy BUT not the same effect indoors they carry bacteria and parasites. You don't want them running through your silverware drawer of your pantry. They can also have a poor effect on our resiratory system.

Even in a clean house if it is warm, has nooks, crannies, and crevices, a water source and crumbs ahhhh like staying at a posh resort for these guys and if you see them you run or by the time you grab a shoe they are gone. Tidbit if you store things in cardboard boxes, don't. Get some plastic containers. They like the glue on cardboard. Contact us for quarterly perimeter treatments. They can keep working outdoors and not take over your indoors.

German roaches are a different kind of problem and treatment. They actually believe they own the place and we will touch on that in a different post.

A shout out to our lawn technician Stephen. Meticulous and reliable in care of our customers he is our Shamrock 'chill' personality. Whatever it is he rolls with it and that demeanor is like a cool breeze on a hot day. Grateful for him and all he brings to this Shamrock family. We strive to be good stewards of this beautiful place, ours and yours.

Scott Breivik used to say fertilizer is like vitamins for the lawn. Being prudent is good. We don’t want to do more than is necessary to nourish and flourish. That is why trained professionals are helpful. Continuous education through courses at PMU run by the University of Florida. We deplete with what we build or grow, just like us vitamins and water are good, just like us, too much may be harmful.

Weeds can take over our lawns too. But when I see the dandelions my granddaughter reminds me we need to feed the bees 🐝🌱. Why you may have service whether to enhance beauty or to maintain control of invasive plants or pests or both we are happy to help.

A face only a mother could love and this queen produces millions of littles over a long lifetime, The queen of reproduction. They do have a job to do. Termites are great decomposers! They are necessary for our ecosystem and great for aerating the soil.

At the same time we do not want them at home. I think it is sort of like leaving an apple fritter on the kitchen counter. Your home's delicious framework dropped right in termite dining area 😛 I have a hard time resisting fritters and they have a hard time resisting your wood. Also, like us, why commute to work when they find out they can just work at home--your home.
So we need them but we need them to work on the right stuff, theirs not ours. 🌳not 🏠 Shift that workspace back outdoors. Contact us for options with termite treatment and control.
