Proud moment! We have the best team of operators. John and I pulled up to a job site today to see both of our operators cleaning off our CAT 299 D3 machines with precision. We do not take machine care lightly. John is meticulous about caring for our machines, and we are so proud of our team!

Our second core value is "Stewardship" The verse below explains why this is so important to us. We take the responsibility of managing and caring for land very seriously. John is the son of a true cattleman, and his great grandfather and grandfather owned ranches where they managed their deer population with precision. In fact, John's grandfather was good friends with Mr. Roy Hindes, (Roy Hindes Jr.), who was a true Texas pioneer of whitetail management! More on that later, but Roy and Little Roy invested immense amounts of time with John's father. He in turn spent hours teaching us. This is the story behind why John is the way he is about stewardship. We had client on a legacy ranch walk out in tears one day telling John, "You made this place look like it did when I was a boy!" Years of cedar regrowth overtook a pasture that he was longing to restore to its original state. We live for moments like this.

Will the grass grow back through the mulch? This is one of the frequently asked questions we receive at 9 Arrow Land Service. I captured this photo on a project currently nearing completion one week after mulching in this particular section, and the beautiful green grass is already emerging! At 9 Arrow, we take pride in our fine finish, and these photos demonstrate that the grass not only grows through the mulch, but it happens rather quickly. This property was previously overgrown with thick cedar regrowth, and now the stunning oak trees are on full display. We will post additional photos upon completion. Over the next few weeks we will be highlighting the 9 core Biblical values behind 9 Arrow Land Service. John and I spent a great deal of time writing these. One of John's mentors in business encouraged us to spend time putting pen to paper on what the core of our company is all about. They can be found on our website as well. 🔥 Texas A&M is providing funding to help reduce wildfire risk on your property!

Texas A&M Forest Service has opened grant applications to access a cost-share reimbursement program to help landowners reduce hazardous vegetation around homes & property. Applications are due July 14, 2026.

Eligible projects may include:
✅ Cedar and brush reduction
✅ Forestry mulching
✅ Fuel breaks
✅ Defensible space around homes and structures

If you qualify and would like to participate, you will need a formal quote to apply. Chosen applicants are allowed their contractor of choice (us!).

Before (left) and after (right) photos of a project nearing completion in Bulverde, Texas. The owner wanted to take out the cedar trees and deadfall to expose his beautiful oak trees. The finished product is magnificent! Our operators worked hard to get that "toothpick" 9 Arrow finish! (Photo in comments) Please notice the native grasses already growing back through the mulch! People ask us all the time about this, and here is photo taken about one week after the area was cleared.
