Shout out to the City of Spokane - Municipal Governmentcrew for sprucing up our North Monroe crossings! This is a detail of maintenance - less often celebrated - especially in a season of recent ARPA investments and shiny new positive impacts - like that sweet banner in the background! 🛸📸

So, we just want to say WE SEE YOU - thank you, Streets Dept, for still caring about the little things that keep our district brighter & safer on a regular ol' average day! 😎✨

Hey, y'all! Cheers to 20 years!🎉 The North Monroe Business District is celebrating A LOT this summer, as we wrap up initiatives galore that were made possible by ARPA funding, as well as excitedly growing an engaged community of volunteers who deeply care about making our district and neighborhood better!

Did you know we were founded as a nonprofit back in 2006?

NMBD went dormant a while, but was revived in 2016 by passionate business neighbors!🧡

From public art projects, to clean up and capital improvements, to advocacy and placemaking - what a year, what a couple of decades! Can't wait to see how we grow & change next. ✨

YOU CAN JOIN US, TOO! We would love to welcome you as a volunteer, friend, or neighbor. 🌞 DM us and we'll loop you in to all the fun (like our upcoming Member Mixer).

We're celebrating the winners of the North Monroe Camera Crawl today at the Emerson-Garfield Farmers' Market! Prizes for randomly selected participants and judged awards will be presented TODAY AT 5PM! All prizes donated by r&r custom color lab in honor of their 50th anniversary!

Many of the 30+ photographers who crawled with us came out for the fun and skipped the competition - good times & great pics were made by all! 🧡🍅🥦🫐 We encourage you to capture the magic of Monroe & our neighborhood in your own way, you can still catch the market Fridays from 3-7pm thru September at Emerson Park! 🥰

Happy Fri-YAY - it's time for our North Monroe Camera Crawl! We're meeting up at r&r custom color lab between 5-5:30 to celebrate their 50 years in business - then start exploring and clicking with your team! 📸

🍉Northbound to the Emerson-Garfield Farmers' Market
🍺Southbound to Four-Eyed Guys Brewing Co.

The first 30 participants will receive a $5 treat token for their destination - each team will then snap pics that catch their eye along the way.

After the event, participants upload their three favorite images from the crawl for chances to win. 😎

Come take part in this meaningful mural on the Afghani Grocery Store with neighborhood artist .battista - this awesome installation kicked off last summer at the Cultural Connections Block Party, and we mean to finish it this weekend! 🎉

Exact times will be communicated through the Facebook event due to weather considerations. Shade, brushes, supplies, and refreshments will be provided!

We are so excited to announce our first ever North Monroe CAMERA CRAWL! 🤩📸

Bring your own unique perspective to capturing the spirit of the North Monroe Business District - and enjoy some local treats, door prizes & your chance at Judged Awards, too! 🥇🥈🥉

Join us 9/4 for the meet-up at r&r custom color lab between 5-5:30 as we celebrate their 50 years in business! Indulge in some freebies at registration, then we head out to start the Crawl!
Pick your team - Northbound to the Emerson-Garfield Farmers' Market, or Southbound to Four-Eyed Guys Brewing Co. - The first 30 participants will receive a $5 treat token for their destination!

Snap pics that catch your eye along the way, then after the event, upload your three favorite images from the crawl for your chance to WIN! The NMBD will gratefully use submitted photos to help share the story of our unique district -THANK YOU!

R&R is donating enlargements for our Top 3 images - We'll do 3 Judge's Choice awards:

What a weekend! 🧡 We are so grateful for the blue skies, the time with neighbors & friends, and the chance to celebrate summer in Emerson-Garfield Neighborhood by swing dancing with Rockabilly Space Force! The North Monroe Business District was a proud sponsor of the concert along with our friends at Spokane City Credit Union (SCCU)! Sunglasses, district maps, and farmers' market fliers were handed out to many - along with SCCU tennis balls & bandanas for the pups! 😎🎉🐶🐾
