Today we celebrate our neighbor, friend, and former NMBD Co-Chair (2021) - Kim Kelly, CEO of Christ Kitchen!
Kim was recognized by Providence health system as the recipient of the 2026 Sister Peter Claver Humanitarian Award, which recognizes individuals who embody compassionate leadership and a deep commitment to serving others.
🌸 Kim shared: "My greatest reward isn't found on a stage, but in the quiet moments of witnessing a woman reclaim her life after the shadows of addiction, trafficking, abuse, incarceration or another tragic life situation.
We all know that service is never a solo act. It’s a community collaborative. It is every selfless individual who shows up and every person who decides to - be the change - rather than just talk about it. I am simply grateful to play my part. Truly, whether I am leading at Christ Kitchen or serving as a Police Chaplain, my goal remains the same: To be a steady, calm presence in someone’s darkest hour.
To let them know they are seen…. they are loved……and they are not alone. Together we are stronger and united we make a powerful difference in a hurting world. TOGETHER, let’s all keep building on Sister Peter Claver’s legacy - to make this world a better place for everyone." 🧡
🫶 You can be part of this beautiful work by supporting Christ Kitchen, too!
