This is what a "cheap fix" looks like a several years later. 👇

We just dug up a sewer line another company "repaired." They never removed the roots. They slid a smaller pipe inside the old one to bypass them.

The roots grew around it and choked it off. When someone tried to cut them out, the unsupported pipe shattered.

Shortcuts mean paying twice. Call us and we'll do it right the first time.

Called out to snake a commercial kitchen floor drain. Turns out it was just the grate. 😅

Before: grate packed solid with grease and grime. Nothing was getting through, so the drain looked backed up.

After: a few minutes of cleaning and the water flows like new. No snaking, no machine, no big bill.

Tip for kitchen managers and techs: before you call for a snake or a camera, pull the grate and check it. A clogged cover can mimic a blocked line. Regular grate cleaning during your closing routine saves you a service call.

Still have slow drains after the grate is clean? That's when it's time to call us. 🔧

Before the trucks roll out, once a week, we get together to talk tech, share what we're learning, and make sure everyone's ready to deliver. Great service starts with a team that's sharp, aligned, and pulling in the same direction.

Strong team. Excellent service. Every job.

Ever wonder why your faucet gets clogged with little brown or reddish specks? 👇

That’s typically caused by old galvanized plumbing deteriorating from the inside out. This photo is the inside of a waterline we removed recently, and you can see how much rust and buildup has formed over the years. As the pipe corrodes, flakes break loose and travel to your faucets and aerators, and the pipe slowly narrows, which can hurt your water pressure too.

Filtration can sometimes help reduce the specks, but the only way to truly eliminate the problem is to replace the galvanized pipe with a modern material that won’t rust or deteriorate.

Seeing brown specks at your faucets? Give Plumbzebra a call and we’ll take a look. 🦓🔧

Is your tankless water heater due for a descale? 🚿

If you can’t remember the last time it was done, it’s worth checking. Most manufacturers recommend descaling about once a year, and more often if you have hard water.

Scale builds up inside the heat exchanger over time. It can cut efficiency, cause error codes, and shorten the life of the unit.

Also worth knowing: both Navien and Rinnai state in their warranties that damage from scale buildup or lack of maintenance isn’t covered. A yearly flush is a small cost compared to a repair.

Not sure when yours was last serviced? Message us and we’ll help you figure out where you stand and get a visit on the schedule.

No, this isn’t something from a sci-fi movie! 👽

It’s a massive root growing right through an Orangeburg sewer pipe! 😳

When was your sewer line last inspected? Would you sleep better at night knowing your line is free of monster roots like this?

We can come out, inspect it, and deal with the roots before they cause a sewage backup. Peace of mind starts with a camera inspection!
