A little maintenance now can help prevent frozen pipes, leaks, and cold-weather surprises. Here’s your fall checklist:

✅ Disconnect garden hoses and drain them before freezing temperatures arrive—even if you have frost-free outdoor faucets.
✅ Winterize outdoor faucets. If you have an interior shutoff for them, shut off the supply and drain the line.
✅ Insulate exposed pipes in unheated areas like garages and crawl spaces.
✅ Check for leaks under sinks, around toilets, and near your water heater. Repair small problems before they get bigger.
✅ Know where your main water shutoff is so you can act quickly if a pipe bursts.
