With the air quality being as poor as it has been due to all the wildfire smoke, now is a good time to check the air filters on your equipment.

For plumbing, you may have a heat pump water heater (also called a hybrid water heater). These units have air filters that can become dirty much faster when there is heavy smoke in the air.

The good news is that these filters are washable and easy to clean.

The recent fires across the Spokane area have been heartbreaking. Our thoughts are with the families who have lost homes, been displaced, or are facing the uncertainty that these fires have brought.

We also want to express our sincere gratitude to the firefighters, law enforcement officers, emergency personnel, utility crews, and the many volunteers who have worked tirelessly to protect our community. Your courage, dedication, and sacrifice do not go unnoticed.

If air quality reaches unhealthy levels, we may need to postpone or reschedule outdoor plumbing work until conditions improve. This includes services such as sewer repairs, water line repairs, excavation, and other work that cannot be performed indoors.

Tubs/showers + humans = hair clogs. It is bound to happen. It is especially a problem with old metal drain pipes. Over time the metal oxidizes and forms scale that is good at catching hair. For those with long hair clogs are also more frequent and more severe. You can also use devices that try to catch the hair before it goes down the drain like a Tubshroom but they dont work with every drain.

Our office dude extraordinaire, Craig, says he hasn't had a hair clog in 10 years because he uses a Tubshroom and cleans it regularly.

Payton & Ricardo did a pretty good job on this water heater replacement. A nice and clean install. If you are having issues with your water heater, give us a call. We also do water heater maintenance such as flushing and anode rod replacements.
