Well, it's that time of year to bring in your plants for the winter months. 🌵 🪴🌾🌿🌱🌴🎍
This is your friendly reminder to give your plants a good hard spray down with at least water (I have been using water + dawn dish soap + Neem oil) before you bring your beautiful greenery inside along with some pests hoping to hitch a ride to the warmth. It's also a good idea to keep these plants isolated from your other house plants just in case you missed a couple bugs or their larvae. And keep a close eye on these plants for the next few weeks.
You could also use "the sexy plant spray" for a few weeks to help deter pests 🪳🦟 and give your plants a shine. Recipe in the comments.

Plants can do so much. Here is an example of what some of my plants have done for me this year.
15 pints of salsa, 12 pints of stewed tomatoes, 1 gallon garlic dills, 4 pints pickled peppers.
This is part of why I garden. First, it's fresh and delicious all year round. Then, not a second thought about whether my food will make me sick and I know what is in it.
I love when I am cooking and I think to myself, this dish needs _______. Then I run out to the garden and grab it. It tastes soooo much better than store bought. And you really don't need very much space to get a good harvest.

If you are wanting to start your own vegetable garden next year and don't know where to start, let me know. If there are enough people, I will put together a group or hire me and I will give you 1 on 1 advice and help throughout the year.
My first piece of advice would be... What do you want to eat from a garden? Make a list.

Do you have white spots and/or webbing present on your house plants? This is what an infestation of mealybugs and some spider mites looks like.

Mealybugs are tiny, soft-bodied, sap-sucking insects covered in a white, cottony, waxy coating.
They gather in hidden, protected areas like leaf joints, stem crotches, and under leaves. Honeydew: They excrete a sticky waste called honeydew, which attracts ants and encourages black sooty mold growth.
Plant Damage: Infested plants look stunted, yellow (chlorotic), or have curled, dropping leaves.

If this looks familiar...CALL ME immediately! I will hand wipe them away and clean under every leaf 🌿 I've got your plants 🪴 ✌️
