was founded in 1920 by four Graves brothers, William (Bill), Lou, Emil and Hans. The Company, originally a partnership, was called Graves Brothers Construction. In 1958 the Company was incorporated and has since been known as Graves Construction Co., Inc. From its beginning, Graves Construction Co., Inc. has primarily built bridges and concrete box culverts. The projects completed by your Company
now number in the hundreds, on township and county roads, state and federal highways, railroads, airports, lakes and the U.S. interstate system ranging over wide areas of Iowa, South Dakota, Minnesota, Nebraska and Kansas. Your Company has also built concrete spillways and gate control structures for major flood control dams and has completed numerous road and street concrete paving projects as well as work in a variety of other construction categories.
