What a gorgeous sight! To the left you can see the cool flower beds. Flowers that can take some cold temps - think snaps, strawflower and dianthus. Bryan is tilling and we are taking advantage of the low wind day and creating some warm annual beds - think zinnia, basil, and all the celosia!

Hey! 👋 It’s me! 🙋🏻‍♀️ Although it has been radio silence on our end, we have been working at starting all the beautiful plugs that will soon start to be planted out! I am starting tons of our favorite perennials and trying some new ones as well!

We will be opening up subscriptions this weekend. Choose from our 5 or 10 week subscription, both starting in early July! This is the best way to guarantee flowers for your table!

It was brought to my attention that maybe some of our followers aren't sure of the difference between perennials and annuals. And I am all about sharing the knowledge I have acquired over the last several years of growing!

Annuals are plants that have to be planted every year. They cannot withstand the cold temperatures of our climate and most annuals are taken out by our first frost in the fall. Many of the flowers in your bouquets are annuals. Snapdragons, zinnias, basil, celosia, and cosmos are all annuals. Majority of these plants will be started on our property in the coming months.

Perennials are plants that live for several years. Some live longer than others but we are hoping to add several varieties to our perennial field this year. We currently have peonies, sedum, yarrow and veronica.

We are spending time this spring season to increase our perennial offerings and while we likely will not see the fruits of our labor this growing season, our hard work will pay off tenfold in the coming seasons!

Some Friday Facts for you! Tell me what your favorite perennial is, even if it isn't for cutting!

Happy 2026! While I took a little break from flowers (and social media) during the holiday, I am back at it succession planning, seed starting, and dreaming of flowers!

I realized I left you on a bit of a cliff hanger with what I was planting but we added about 40 more *coral* roots to our peony patch this fall and couldn’t be more exited to continue and grow this offering!

We have some big changes and big plans for 2026! One of them being we did not plant any tulips this fall. To be honest, last year was a rough tulip season. Even though sooo many of you showed up with love and support for our blooms, the unpredictable winter weather patterns if freezing/thawing along with lack of snow coverage and several varieties not even blooming made 2025 tulip season less than impressive for us. This is NOT a goodbye forever, just a break to see what’s right for us!

Now for the good news! This means we are get to pour our heart, time, and dollars into perennials this spring. While we have been slowing increasing our perennial offerings, we have plans bring several new varieties to the farm!

Sooo what are you favorite perennials? What do you want to see in our bouquets? Tell us below!

Any guesses as to what is getting planted today on the farm?!

This week is all about seed saving! This year we are saving more than 10 varieties of zinnias from the farm as well as amaranth! Each floral head provides several seeds that I will test for germination over the winter!
