This hillside used to own the yard.

Every rain moved more red clay around, and washed away the mulch. Too steep to use. Too messy to enjoy.

We built a solid wall to manage the water and keep things in place. Now the slope stays put and the house looks finished.

Some of our favorite projects start with a simple idea: “We just want a spot outside where we can sit around a fire.”

That’s usually how the best ones begin. A solid base, good stone, with a fire pit as the centerpiece. Next thing you know, it’s where birthday cakes get blown out, the grandkids roast marshmallows, and the neighbors end up staying later than they planned.
